The Tracfone Bluetooth Review is not what you think.

Tracfone has recently come out with a couple of Bluetooth phones.  They are the LG 600g and the Motorola W376.  Both of these phones are nice phones.  They would be a lot nicer if Tracfone didn’t Eviscerate their Phones.

What you Cannot do with Tracfone Blue-Tooth.

You might be able to sync with your car but you will not be able to dial out without using the phone.

The standard car to phone interface will not work properly.

You cannot transfer Pictures directly to your computer with TracFone Bluetooth Review.  You have to use airtime to email pictures to your computer.  This is one of the main benefits to Bluetooth phones because normally you don’t need to send pictures over the web or take your memory out and stick it into your comuter.  Neither of these phones have removable memory.

You cannot backup your phone book to your computer with Tracfone Bluetooth phones.

What can I do with Tracfone Bluetooth

The Bluetooth will only work to connect to a Blue-Tooth Headset.  This seems to work easily.  Everything else you might use Bluetooth for is disabled on Tracfones.

The LG 600 Bluetooth is still the nicest Tracfone in my opinion but if you are buying it for the Bluetooth usability, that has all been disabled by Tracfone..

It is sad that I list more things you cannot do with your Tracfone Bluetooth. I like the inexpensive service of Tracfone but it bums me out that they so disable their nicer phones.

Harsh Comments

You may think I have only made harsh comments. Both the Lg 600 and the Motorola W376 are good basic phones. If Tracfone had kept more of the Bluetooth features that are designed into these phones they would be a lot nicer.  My phone is a tool and I hate it that the phone has handy capabilities built into it that Tracfone will not let me use.

You may wonder since Tracfone and Net10 are the same company, Can I use a TracFone phone with Net10 service?

No

Can I move my SIM card from one Tracfone to another?

No

When you activate either your Tracfone or Net10 phone your SIM card is locked to that specific phone.  It will never work in another phone.  If you want to have service in a different part of the country then Tracfone/Net10 will send you a new SIM card for no charge.  I believe they will do this up to four times a year.

Can I use my old T-mobile, ATT or Verizon phone with Tracfone/Net10?

No, you can only use a Tracfone phone for Tracfone service or a Net10 phone for Tracfone Phone with Net10 Service service.

Can I move my Tracfone phone number to Net10?

Yes,
You can port almost any phone number to either Net10 or TracFone.  This is often where problems occur because Tracfone/Net10 is not the one doing the transfer.  They use the Cell Networks of Att, Verizon, Alltel, T-mobile and others.  The phone number must be released by the current system and then moved to the new system.   Sometimes this goes easily sometimes not.  If you can live without your old phone number save yourself a problem and just get a new number.

Can I move my DMFL from my old phone to my new one?

No,
Normally Tracfone will not let you move your DMFL from one phone to another.  You can keep the old DMFL phone and add minutes to it and then transfer the minutes to your new phone.  You can do this with other non DMFL phones also.  Use the one DMFL phone to add minutes to, then transfer the minutes to a non DMFL phone.  When you transfer you have to transfer all the minutes off the phone.
