Three steps.  You purchase a Phone, activate it and then add a Tracfone Minute Card.  It is quite easy.  Add a new phone card every 90 days to continue your phone in service.  If you run out of minutes or phone service your Tracfone Wireless phone will not work.  Letting Tracfone service expire you will lose your phone number.

Where is the best Place to buy a Tracfone?
Tracfone.com usually has the best selection and phone and phone card specails.  Usually if you spend up to $100 you can get a Top of the line Tracfone, One year 800 minute tracfone card, and Double Minutes for Life.  Purchasing the cheapest Tracfone without DMFL will cost a lot more for minutes.

How much does it cost to Activate your Tracfone?
There is no charge to Activate a Tracfone.  After letting your Tracfone service expire they do not charge you a fee to reactivate your Tracfone Phone.  You will have to buy a minute card to reactivate your Tracfone but there is no extra Activation or cell phone reactivation fee.

How do I activate?
There are multiple ways of activating your phone a Tracfone.  My favorite is to go to the Tracfone website.  At the top of the page in the menu you will find the “Activate, Reactivate” button on the top of the web page.  Then you will add the Tracfone ESN or serial number.  Your serial number will be an 11, 15, or 18 digit number.
