Net10 Prepaid Wireless Coverage
The best pay as you go cellular coverage in the US is from Net10 (and sister company Tracfone). All other Prepaid cell phones will only work on their home network. For instance the Virgin Mobile and Straight Talk will not roam onto other networks. Because Net10 has agreements with over 30 networks in the US you will get the best Prepaid coverage with Net10.. There is not an extra cost to roam with your Net10 phone.

Where is the Best Place to purchase a Net10 phone?
I usually recommend buying your Net10 Phone online. You will almost always have the largest choice of phones. I always check for Net10 Purchase Discount codes. Often the codes will save you three to ten dollars on your Net10 phone purchase. Another option is Target and Safeway usually carry the phones in stock but they normally only have the cheapest models.
Does Net10 have an Activation Fee if I allow my service time to run out?
No, Net10 Prepaid does not have an activation fee, a reactivation fee or a End of Service Termination fee. When you run out of minutes you will lose your phone number and if you have service time left over you will lose it also. Be sure to add another phone card before you are completely out of either minutes or service time. My recommendation is that you do not use the last ten minutes on your phone. You can text a response or use your phone as a pager if you are nearly out of units. If your service is no longer active your caller ID will not work.
How Net10 Works
The Prepaid model that Net10 uses is the Cost per Minute structure. You purchase minutes and at the same time you will get a service period to use those minutes. .
You will start by buying a Phone and a Net10 Minute Card. You can only use a Net10 Cellular phone for Net10 service, you cannot use a Verizon, At&t, T-Mobile, Alltel, Net10 or any other phone with Net10 Service. The Net10 SIM card will not work in any other phone either.
How to Activate your Net Ten Prepay Phone
You will Activate the phone by calling Net10 on a land line or by going on the internet.
You will have to key in some numbers into your phone and then it is active. It is really easy For the system to activate your phone can take 10 minute to a couple of hours.
Adding a Net10 Minute card is even easier. You can add Net10 units directly from the phone or from the Net10 website. You will key in the 15 digit PIN code into your phone.
When adding a minute card if you use a five digit Bonus Code you might get more minutes. Check out the Net10 Bonus Codes.
Net10 Service Time
You will get 30 days of service time on most Net10 cards for each $15 you spend. If you do not have service time left on your phone it will not work even if you have minutes left.. The End of Service Date normally flashes on the screen of your Net10 phone all the time. In my opinion the Best Pay as you go Yearly Mobile Yearly Cell Plan is the the Tracfone prepay $200 3,000 minute (with DMFL) plan. This is only offered from Tracfone.com. This plan gets you the best per minute price for prepaid cell phone plans at 6.6 cents a minute.

The T-Mobile Yearly Plan is simple. You buy the $100 card and your service will stay active for up to 12 months as long as you do not run out of units. The units will cost 10 cents. If you add smaller than $100 refill cards you will pay up to 33 cents a minute. You only get the ten cent per minute rate if you buy $100 at a time.
The Best Prepaid Yearly Cell Plan from Tracfone gives you a lot of flexibility. If you do not use all of your units they will roll over if you keep your service active. If you have a lot of minutes left over you can buy $20 phone cards that will give you three months of service. If you run out of units you can always add minute cards and pay between 6.6 cents and 17 cents a minute with DMFL.

I’ve been using NET10 for years and it is my fav cell carrier. They keep their plans simple, without hidden costs and sneaky penalties or service fees, but they are still one of the cheapest providers!
I wouldn’t use any other prepaid provider let alone go back to contracts!
