I bought my Net10 service at Best Buy on a friend's recommendation and I think it's a great deal in terms of price and service. I went from paying more than $100 a month for a phone I was barely using, to now saving more than $55 a month. The texting is only .03 a text (verus the usual .10 a text), the T-Mobile network offers really great coverage, and the phones are super affordable. My Samsung has worked out really well for calling and texting and I felt the activation fee was worth it since I got 300 minutes right off the bat. No contracts or pages of bills is all worth it.

I know it is possible to port a phone number from a tracfone to net10 but is it possible to ALSO transfer the minutes to the net10 phone along with the phone number?

You normally cannot transfer your DMFL card to a new phone. I have seen it done once where the phone only worked for about a month after the DMFL was installed. Most of the nicer phones all come with DMFL. Also if you want you can purchase minutes on your current dmfl phone and then transfer them to your next non dmfl phone.

I'm glad I found your site! I've had problems with TracFone, but info from
your site is helping me through the crisis...we'll see how it turns out when I finally get my new SIM card.

I have a tracfone with a DMFL card. Is it true that I cannot change phones and still keep my DMFL?
